Great songs by an artist with a 4 or more octave range and a great band. Among the best numbers: Demolition Man, Ain’t Got No Money, I Just Wanna Make Love To You (a crowd roaring 10 minute presentation), Damn The Reason and King of Rock and Roll. That’s 5 Class A tunes by this fine artist and I don’t usually find that high of a great number. I’m pretty particular in my selections. This is her 3rd album. If you don’t have No. 1 and No. 2 (Never Say Never and A Force of Nature) all I can say is GO GET THEM! – D. V. Gerschutz (Fan via Amazon)
A new stunning live album by Sari Schorr released alongside an extensive European tour in March & April 2020, visiting 8 different countries. The new live album, recorded in venues as far apart as Rapperswill in Switzer-land and Suffolk in England, features tracks from Sari’s first two albums, alongside a stonking version of ‘I Just Wanna Make Love To You’ and some previously unreleased acoustic tracks, recorded for the BBC in the UK. All songs have been superbly recorded and clearly demonstrate Sari songs are full of tension and traction and her dynamic presence is a mixture of controlled burning and ever-growing passion.
Sari Schorr initially gained prominence throughout the blues world after several years of touring the US and Europe with Blues legend, Joe Louis Walker and renowned guitarist, Popa Chubby. Schorr was recently inducted into the New York Blues Hall of Fame. Since the release of her first album Sari’s career has continued on a constantly upward trajectory. She has appeared on the Conan O’Brian Show, played Carnegie Hall in New York, has toured extensively throughout the US, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Sari has played major European festivals, such as Montreaux Jazz Festival, Blue Balls in Switzerland, Notodden in Norway, Guitar En Scene in France as well as Ottowa Blues Festival in Canada.
If you are looking for a modern-day soul & blues heroine who has Tina Turner’s fiery skill, energy, and sensuality combined with Carly Simon’s successful song-writing and wild sweetness, you’ve come to the right place. Sari Schorr is the real damn deal.
I joyfully traveled the length and breadth of Europe during 2019, playing with inspiring musicians to wonderfully receptive audiences. We’ve picked highlights from shows in London, Hampshire and St. Gallen, Switzerland, plus a couple of acoustic gems from a session for the BBC. The talented musicians on board for these shows were Ash Wilson, Mat Beable, Roy Martin, Bob Fridzema, Stevie Watts, Martin ‘Magic” Johnson and Steve Wright. I hope these recordings convey the fun and excitement we felt as we hit the stage each night with our hearts on our sleeves.
Reviews
This album is a joy to listen to. Sari Schorr’s voice is excellent. She can sound both tender and full blown bluesy. Beng a live album the band’s sound is superb alongside Sari’s faultless vocals. Definitely a must to listen to and purchase. – Wilf Crumpton (Fan via Amazon)

Seen Sarri Schorr live last year and was looking forward to seeing her again this, but due to the current issues going on in the world right now has been canceled. I find her better live than on record and this shows on this album. Although most tracks are on her first two albums this is worth getting as it has more energy and gives a good feeling of how good the band is live.

“Live In Europe” is about an hour long. It is marvellous, and the reason it’s marvellous is shown in microcosm by the last four songs. “Back To LA” has a kind of laid back, Eagles vibe, while her interpretations of “Ready For Love” and in particular “Black Betty” – delivered here acoustic and raw – show her skill at picking covers, before “King Of Rock N Roll”, probably the stand out moment from “….Never” is given a rearrangement.
